A few things I never thought I'd learn from Johnny

  1. We really need a house cleaner.  Mommy doesn't have time to clean the house and with him dragging his belly all over, you really start to see what's on your floor when it shows up on him.
  2. Authentic experiences are best.  Teachers use the phrase "authentic experiences," meaning your students should have real-life opportunities to practice what they know, or show what they know or whatever.  When they're working something for real life, it means more.  Well, Johnny is the same.  He loves to drag Daddy's mag light around the house (he has to drag it because he can't lift it).  DVD cases, water bottles, shoes and ribbon are all great toys for him.
  3. You can get anything you want with a smile.  All he has to do is smile and anyone is defenseless to what he wants.
  4. Fart noises make things better.  I have never made so many fart noises in my life, ever.
