Dear Moon Pie

Dear Moon Pie,

                Tomorrow I am scheduled to have you delivered by csection at 10:00 am.  It is so hard to imagine that you will be here tomorrow!  We are excited to have you in our family.

                We still don’t have an official name for you yet, but don’t worry, we have a few good choices to pick from.  For some reason, we just aren’t positive what name we want for you.  I’m very nervous about that, but your dad isn’t at all.  He says when we meet you, we will know.  And we’ve had your nickname for so long, that it feels like we have a name for you already. 

                Everyone is so excited to meet you!  Grandma Boo wants to know the minute you are born.  Grandma Beth and Grandpa Larry can’t wait to come visit either.  Aunt Mindy wants me to make sure I send her pictures tomorrow.

                Your official due date isn’t until Wednesday, but your daddy and I really want you to be born in 2012, so we made sure to schedule your c-section for the last day of the year.  We were hoping you might decide to come earlier on your own time frame, but you didn’t.  So we get to decide your birthday for you.

                You have been a wonderful baby during this pregnancy.  I have been able to work for as long as I could and you haven’t gotten in the way too much.  Sometimes you like to try to “break free,” but I think that’s because you’re pretty big and going to grow up and be pretty strong (like your dad).  You also like to spread out (a lot more than your brother ever did) and move around.

                Oh, baby, we are so excited to make you a part of our family.  I want you to know how loved you already are and we haven’t even met you yet.  I know once we get to hold you we will love you even more than we do now.  Can’t wait to meet you!
