Okay, I'm now 38.5 weeks pregnant and it's hard to believe that pretty soon I'll have this little guy hanging out with us and not just dancing in my uterus! I do have to say there are some pretty great things about being pregnant this time of year.
1. You don't need to use a coat, at least in AZ, that is. I have a built in heater that pretty much makes any temperature over 60 perfectly bearable. Yep, that's why we live in AZ.
2. There are always plenty of sweets around for the sugar-craving prego woman!
3. Hearing people talk about the birth of Christ and Mary becomes just a bit more real. (Yeah I know Jesus wasn't really born on 12/25, but for the sake of tradition, let's just go with this.) When I imagine her on a donkey traveling, as pregnant as I am now, it definitely affects you.
Sure, I could probably list a few things that make this time of year very challenging for a pregnant woman, but, all in all, I'm really enjoying this time to reflect and appreciate what's really getting ready to happen. I'm excited to have this little one to hold!
