Date #2: Dinner alone

If a newborn teaches you anything, it's that you have to be flexible.    Last week's date, that really didn't even happen until this week, wasn't even on Jason's list to pick from.  However, it was totally a date!  We were alone, both boys were asleep.

Monday night we got home late after signing papers on a new car!  When I say late, I mean really late for us.  So we split the jobs before we got home, I would start on dinner for both of us, Jason would make peanut butter for Johnny.  We'd get Johnny ready for bed and then eat our dinner after we put him to sleep.  (Usually we try to feed Johnny what we're eating, but since it was late, it wasn't worth the effort.)

So after he was asleep we ate a meal together, alone, without a toddler, without any tantrums, without any interruptions and it was wonderful!
