- Jason is on call 24/7- what does this mean? Sometimes he's done working at 3, sometimes he's done at 7, sometimes he's home at 4 and then gets a call at 8 and doesn't get back until 12. Basically, we have no structure to our time together, we just fly by the seat of our pants together. (Do not confuse this with complaining, because I'm not, I'm just stating some facts. I am SOOOOO happy he has a job that is secure and he enjoys, I can deal with the inflexibility, I promise.)
- We have six and a half weeks left of school. I teach 8th graders. They're done, I'm done, we're all done, but somehow I have to convince them that they still need to pay attention and complete their assignments. So, instead I OVERLOAD them with work so they can't daydream about high school and beyond. So, I spend a lot of time planning, grading, planning, grading.
- I'm still in YW in my ward, doing card club at school, scrapbook club with some friends, card swap, helping friends with their swaps, entering contests, on the district novel committee, participating in two book clubs, running two extracurricular clubs, etc. I think that pretty much explains itself. Oh, and someone wants to start piano lessons...
- Colette was in town for a week. We had a great time, but we did SO much. 2 crops, 2 classes, 2 shows, 1 baseball game, 3 family dinners, 1 field trip, 1 scrapbook convention, 2 days of church. So, definitely, no time to blog while she was here.
- Apparently, our tax money was meant to pay for car repairs. Jason's needed a new back door on his truck $400, two back tires, $450 and my car has an undiagnosed problem currently from some dash warning lights that won't turn off, I don't even want to think of the expense. Oh, that's not to mention the existing power steering pump issue and basic 100,000 mile maintenance that we've been delaying.
- I got a new phone. I don't think I put that on here. I killed my phone while visiting Colette. Bought phone 1- Samsung Glyde, hated it, tried to start to like it, couldn't, returned it. Bought phone 2- LG Dare, love it! So I spend quite a bit of time trying to figure out all its little quirks and fun things. It is fabulous! But, boy, was it stressful- you never realize how dependent you are on that piece of machinery until its gone. (Plus I lost all contact information for everyone.)
- Somewhere in there, we try to find time for two dogs too.

You are amazing Katie! I don't know how you do all you do. We saw Jason at Costco while he was buying the tires and he was so sweet. We were talking about how expensive tires can be and he said, "Yeah, I buy the expensive tires. My sweet wife is worth WAY too much to me to put cheap junky tires on my car. I want to know she is safe." His love for you was so apparent.
Oh, isn't life grand! At least you can never say you are bored!!!
I've missed you guys. Hopefully things settle down a bit and you can take a breather.
My goodness, you have been busy, Katie! BTW - I loved your Spring Break post. You are so fun and creative.:)
