A taste of celebrity

A few weekends ago Jason and I decided to try out a pizza place we had seen on "Diners, Driveins and Dives" from the Food Network.  It was in downtown Glendale- so just about a day trip for us.  (We were actually considering a day trip, but figured this was cheaper and almost took the same amount of time.)

So, this is a really bad photo of Guy's photo, because I didn't want to get close enough and look touristy enough while taking it, so I took it really quick, hence, the glare.  But I included it on here because if you look closely you can see both Jason and me in the reflection.  :-)

After our pizza, we walked to a local ice cream shop for dessert.  This is us enjoying our treats.  But I think Jason was already done (it's the only food he eats faster than I do).

It was nice to do something out of the ordinary and have it seem almost like a date.  When it's just the two of you, technically you could classify everything as a "date."  So to actually go somewhere with a specific purpose that is actually like a date- was kind of cool.  And a lot cheaper than actually leaving the Phoenix area!

We love Triple D and have always wanted to try one of the places but never have! What a fun idea!
