Best Summer Ever

I go back to work tomorrow.  As I've been thinking about this summer, a completely different one from any of my others, I actually feel pretty good about how it all worked out.  Here are some of the highlights.

  • Attending a weekly breastfeeding support group with Johnathon. The best part was getting to weigh him each week and see him GROW!
  • Having all summer long with the three of us.  We did a lot of bumming around the house, but no complaints here.
  • Other than visiting Jason's parents two times, I don't think we even left the East Valley. Usually I spend all summer about the country and this was the first time I was home for longer than a week at a time.  I think there is actually something pretty valuable in staying home and taking it easy.
  • Since we weren't going anywhere, I made lots of lunch dates with friends.  I saw some friends who I haven't seen for a long time and some friends I see every few months.  But, hey, it was still fun!
I'm sad to leave Johnathon tomorrow, but I'm completely rested and ready to start the school year.  The sooner it begins, the sooner it's the next break and I can hang out with him again!
