This summer, Johnathon and I have attended a breastfeeding support group on Friday mornings (I like to call it our new mommy club). It's been a lot of fun for us to do something together and meet other mommies and have somewhere to voice questions and hear questions to realize you aren't the only one in the entire world who struggles with what's going on!
On Friday our topic was "Staying cool." It was also thelast class we can attend this summer. I brought a treat to share and it was a hit. Some of the other moms wanted the recipe and I couldn't figure out how to post it on FB without leaving the longest post ever, so I'm posting it here. :)
I figure it works well because I love these! And those of you who check out my blog might be tempted to make some of your own and cool yourself down too. And, when you live in AZ, the best way to stay cool is to cook without using the oven....(plus these took me only 20 minutes to make!)
No Bake Cookies
1/4 tsp salt
2 c sugar
1/2 c butter
3 Tbsp cocoa
1/2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla
3 c oats
Boil first five ingredients for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add vanilla and oats.
Cover a cookie sheet with wax. Drop cookies on wax and refrigerate.
Makes about 3 dozen.
