Becoming a dad

One of the most exciting things about being married has been watching Jason as he becomes a dad.  We were married for six and a half years before we had Johnny and I thought I knew him pretty well.  But watching him as a dad, I have seen a side to him I had no idea existed.  It's pretty cool!

He held Johnny through both haircuts.  I tried for the second one, and it didn't work.  He just sits still better.

{Sorry, totally out of order.  Dumb Blogger.} He loved holding Johnny when he was so little.  I'm pretty sure he loves holding him still, it just isn't too easy anymore.

Imagine the scene.  We're all at Bass Pro Shops to take a free picture with the Easter Bunny.  Waiting patiently in line, but we forgot to prep Johnny about what was going to happen.  Jason put him up there on Easter Bunny's lap and Johnny flipped!  So Jason decided to pose with the Easter Bunny.  At least he's smiling.

He loves to play with Johnny whenever, wherever, however.

Good thing he's strong, because Mommy can't carry Johnny for as long as Daddy can.

I don't have any pictures of it, but my pretty mellow, chill, play it cool husband has no problems looking like a complete goof in front of his son.

Sometimes I can even trick them into dressing alike.

So, right before this photo, Johnny had spit up on Jason's head.  Yep, he kept holding him while we waited to meet Santa.

Yep, that's usually Johnny's face when he's playing with Daddy.

Daddy Day Care, it rocks.

Johnny will only sleep on Jason.  I blame my good training of him to know he needs to put himself to sleep and not let Mommy do it, but sometimes, I just wish he'd fall asleep on me!

All this and he does diapers, too!
He's a pretty great husband whose becoming a pretty wonderful father.
Happy Father's Day, Honey!

He's a pretty great dad! My favorite pic is definitely the one where Jason is going through his wallet and Johnny is looking at you. Freakin adorable! Also the one where he is asleep on Jason. Hilarious!

See...and when you got married you were worried that he wouldn't take good pictures for your scrapbook. All it took was making him a Daddy and boom...perfect scarpbook material every time! I remember what I said when you got married, if you thought he was worthy to marry he must be an incredible man...and I still hold on to that same belief! Happy Father's Day, Jason. :)
