I'm not going to lie, for the first 12 hours being by myself was pretty weird. I kept waiting for Johnny to show up with a toe to play with. Towards the end of the time, I missed him, but was learning to enjoy sleeping in, eating by myself, and being around adults all the time.
Of course, San Diego was absolutely beautiful. We left AZ in 110 degree heat and San Diego was never hotter than 70. It was amazing and very hard to come back to the heat.
Conference Highlights:
- Sir Ken Robinson spoke at the opening sessions. He was hilarious and very realistic for teachers to listen to.
- Amy Farrah Fawler (of Big Bang Theory) spoke at the same panel. Not so funny, but still had some good things to say.
- I attended lots of classes and walked out of most of them, unfortunately. I stayed for all of three. One, because we were being webcast to where the presenter was and we were sitting on the front row, so leaving would have been AWKWARD. Plus it was only 30 minutes long.
- I got some ideas to use in my classroom and am looking forward to putting them to use.
- I talked to tons of people, but didn't really make any networking contacts or anything.
- I spent a lot of time on Twitter, which I still have some pretty mixed feelings on.

I'm glad you were able to have such a nice trip. I love your Father's Day post below. I especially love the pic of Johnny conked out over Jason's shoulder. Too cute!:)
