My friend got me hooked on all of these really cool valentine-y swap things in January. So I've been celebrating for a few weeks already. Here is the card I made for my card swap.
I was pretty happy with how it turned out. I wanted to make a card that could be used for something other than Valentine's Day and I figured this would be a perfect one for a wedding or just a generic love card to send to someone special (ex. I sent them to my Beehives). Then a few weeks after I mailed mine out, all of these arrived in the mail.
Aren't they fabulous!?! They totally made my day. The heart shaped one didn't come from the swap, but from a friend at school, but I had to include it. It was pretty cute too!Jason and I have a tradition where you have to make the gift for the other person. Of course, that comes from me- because I love to make things and never really have an excuse to do so. Jason's never been too crazy about it, but he's getting more into it each year. This year he's writing me a long love letter. He says he doesn't know when he'll be finished, but right now he's at page 3! Here's what I made for Jason.
I got the idea from a sheet of monkey stickers. So I thought about a "I'm bananas for you" theme. I bought the jar at Target, used a bunch of stuff I already had and filled it with things I love about him and little love coupons- free backrub, free picnic, free car ride, stuff like that. He seemed to like them. I think he's more excited to have the jar once everything's been used up so he can fill it with nuts and bolts in the garage. We also had a $20 budget for a gift, I got him new earphones (that rock and I should have bought more for me when they were on sale!) and he bought me some Cricut tools (that also rock!).My parents were out of town this weekend, so my sister Mindy came to stay with us last night. Yesterday we busted out my new heart cake pan and heart ramekins. I made the big heart for Jason and Mindy and I each decorated two little heart cakes.

So that's how we did it here. Some croppin', sharin', and bakin' and lots of love!
