Two years ago today...

• I became a mother.
• The most perfect baby in the world joined our family.
• I saw my husband cry as he held our son and watched him take his last breath.
• My firstborn was taken from me too early and too quickly.

Today

• We took Johnny to his first trunk or treat.
• I hugged my baby a few extra times.
• I missed his older brother a few extra times.
• I remembered how sad I was this same day two years ago.
