For Christmas, my sister got me some of those HUGE muffin pans (only six spots on a normal size pan). I requested them because Jason loves cupcakes and I thought it'd be fun to make him HUGE cupcakes. Well, I didn't want to risk ruining cupcakes when I used them the first time (since there aren't directions for baking HUGE cupcakes on the box), so I used up a muffin mix my mom gave to me a few months ago. Anyway, don't they look scrumptious? The actually overcooked a bit on the bottoms, but, hey, they look great. You actually don't have to add too much time to baking them. Hopefully cupcakes will be just as easy to make.
So, this was actually a project from the scrapbooking trip to CA. And this picture was actually taken before I finished it. Then I finished it and promptly packed it up without taking another picture. So, until next Christmas, this shot will just have to do! I got this idea from my friend who taught a class making a cookie sheet advent calendar back in July. It's just a cookie sheet (it was easier to make them from the dollar store ones, mine was from Wal-Mart and apparently non-stick, which means non-stick for Mod Podge too.) with numbers magneted to the sheet. I used the numbers from the sheet of MM Fa-La-La paper for all of the individual dates. The background is just the back of that same sheet of paper. I ended up buying way too many goodies to use on it, so now I have tons of extra Christmas stuff. I was bummed because it got a bit squished on there once they were all done, but I was determined to squish them in there. The title ended up being Christmas spelled out in an assortment of chipboard fonts and painted red, green and cream. I'm very pleased with myself and my little Christmas project.Last Christmas, my friend had a little sign hanging on a wreath stand on her porch. I loved it! I asked her about it and she told me she just got it from some boutique in UT. Well, I was determined to have one. So I looked all over and eventually found two little wreath stands for myself. All of 2008 I dreamed of having seasonal things to hang on them. Well over break I finally got a chance to put the si
gns together. I had planned them out back in October with the calendar I made for my friend and me, so they weren't too much work. On Saturday, Jason was out helping just
about everyone in the ward move, so I was all by my lonesome to work on projects. Here are my final ones. After a few, I got a little less creative, but I think they'll work for hanging in my little door niche.I just realized how long it will actually take me to upload all of my pictures. So maybe I'll just load the current ones and then as the year goes on I'll load the ones for the seasons. This one here might be my favorite. It's for a birthday. So right now, I'll only get to hang it in Aug/Sept, but, hey, maybe someday we'll have a kid with a birthday in a different month...
Here's the one hanging right now, as we speak. It's for Valentine's Day (obviously, not sure why I felt the need to explain that). I used my Opposites Attract Cricut Cartridge in the upright font (I think that might be my favorite font right now).

Here are some other things hanging in my niche right now. They both come from other projects I started with intentions of completing for holidays throughout the year, but haven't quite found the time to complete yet... As of right now the seasonal hanging only has winter and fall complete. (He
y, that is halfway!) And for the framed holiday saying, I only have a Christmas one (my MIL made it for me, thus, giving me the idea) and the VDay one. Maybe someday I'll move on to a holiday past February...So, basically, I've got a lot to show for my little break from school. I'm very pleased with all I've accomplished. Now, how long until Spring Break???
