Mom Memory #2

Quilts- So it was really hard to decide what should be 2 or 1. Pretty much, either one, could be either or, it's quite the tie. My mom is a quilter. And that's quite the understatement. As us kids have moved out of the house and she's been in the library more, she's found a lot more free time to quilt. It used to be just during summers and a little during the school year. Now, I think she probably gets MORE done during the school year than during breaks. Plus, now she has her own quilting machine so she can take care of everything at home. My mom has made me a quilt for every monumental experience in my life: high school graduation, college graduation, wedding, etc. She insists on helping us all make quilts for our friends when they have similar experiences too. She is so generous with her talent and is always happy to teach someone how to quilt or to help them make their own quilt too. She's a great example to me of sharing your gifts with others and not "hiding your light under a bushel."
